The Rhoose Community Group has been formed to turn the site of a former asbestos works and quarry into a:
Nature reserve,
Sports field (with a rugby pitch)
Green Sports Pavilion
Sports Cafe
Nature Reserve Information Centre
Permanent Beach
The site is to the west of Rhoose Point, between the train station and the sea. The original plan for Rhoose Point had this area allocated for a golf course and golf club house.
Our plan is to the see the entire area preserved as public space and a community building for the use and enjoyment of all.
